Ini Edo married Phillip Ehiagwina, a Nigerian businessman resident in the United States, in 2008. They married in a Nigerian church before performing the ceremony in February 2009 in a Texas church. Soon after their marriage, rumours began to circulate that Ini Edo was having an affair with her husband. There was also another side to the story that claimed her husband was physically violent to her.
In 2009, both Ini Edo and her husband denied that their marriage was strained. The couple was mentioned in a Vanguard piece as maintaining there were no problems in their home. However, the story changed after a few years.
The couple’s marriage came to an end in 2014. There were numerous explanations stated as to why it came to an end. The stories were once again about adultery and domestic abuse. Ini Edo, on the other hand, stated that their divorce was the result of “irreconcilable disputes.”
Ini Edo’s ex- husband’s family alleged that the actress cheated when married to Phillip Ehiagwina and that her family had to ask them to take the returned bride money so that she might marry someone else in the future, according to a post on Pulse.
However, because we couldn’t locate any real evidence to back up the charges, we’re going to accept them as simply that. It is not uncommon for infidelity stories about public people and celebrities to circulate. Readers are encouraged to approach these stories with a healthy grain of scepticism unless proof to the contrary emerges.
