Biography Of Bob-Manuel Udokwu: Bob-Manuel Udokwu is a Nigerian actor, director, producer, and politician who has worked in a variety of roles. He first came to public attention while appearing in the Nigerian television series Checkmate, which ran from 1991 until 1994.

Bob has accumulated over three decades of professional media experience in total. He is considered to be one of the founding fathers of the Nigerian film industry, often known as Nollywood. In addition, he is an award-winning actor who has been in hundreds of Nigerian films throughout the course of his career.

In the popular reality television program Gulder Ultimate Search, Udokwu has the distinction of being the show’s longest anchor (2007-2011). He also got political jobs in his home state of Anambra State, where he was born.

Biography Of Bob-Manuel Udokwu: Bob-Manuel Obidimma Udokwu was born on the 18th of April in the 1960s in Enugu State, Nigeria. Among his siblings, he is the second son and fourth kid in a family of six children. He was born to the late Geoffery Nwafor (a government servant) and his mother Ezelegbo Nwafor (a housewife) (a petty trader). Udokwu is from Nkwelle-Ogidi, Idemmili North LGA of Anambra State, Nigeria. He is a musician and songwriter.


At the age of five, Bob-Manuel started his schooling at St. Peters Primary School in Ogbete Enugu, Nigeria (now Hillside). Later, he attended Oraukwu Grammar School in Anambra and, later, the University of Port Harcourt in Rivers State, where he graduated in 1986.

Bob began his studies at the University with a one-year professional acting training program before transferring to the School of Theatre Arts, where he received his B.A. in Theatre Arts in 1991. After that, he went on to the University of Lagos, where he earned a Masters degree in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations.

Aside from that, he served in the National Youth Service in Ibadan, Oyo State. Between 1991 and 1992, he worked as the Coordinator of the NYSC Theatre Group while still a member of the Corps.
